Same-Day Delivery: Every arrangement is personally hand-delivered by an industry professional, and, in most cases, can arrive the same day you place your order. If you order before 2:00 pm in Ottawa and the surrounding area, we can typically deliver the flowers the same day Monday through Friday. For orders going outside of our local delivery area, we may require the order to be placed by 12:00 pm for same-day delivery. For same day service on Saturday and Sunday please order by 12:00 pm.
Specific Times: For an additional charge we can often guarantee delivery within a 1-2 hour time frame. Although normally we are able to deliver within four hours on most orders. You may request a time frame in the special instruction box when ordering, and we will do our best to accommodate your request.
Delivery Times: Normal delivery times are 9am-4pm daily for orders going to a business, 6pm to 9pm for orders to residences.
Funeral Homes: These orders are our very highest priority. If you have ordered too late to make the funeral service we will call to let you know quickly so that you can make other arrangements or have something sent to the home of the family. If you do not know the postal code or exact address of the funeral home we will look it up for you. We normally contact the funeral home to verify the time of the visitation and make arrangements for the flower delivery. If you have selected a delivery date that is before the actual visitation we will deliver to the visitation per the funeral home instructions.
If No One is Home: Depending on the delivery location, if the recipient is not available at the time of delivery, the delivery person may leave the gift in a safe place for the recipient to retrieve when they return, such as with a neighbour.
Incorrect Addresses: If the recipient's address is incorrect and delivery was attempted to the address, there will be a addional deliver fee charged to pay for the second delivery. Weekly Flowers is not responsible for deliveries made to incorrect addresses submitted to us by the customer. If such a delivery is made, the customer assumes responsibility for the entire purchase.
Cancelling an Order: Same-day orders are processed immediately, and usually cannot be changed. For more details please contact the store immediately.
Recipient May be Contacted: For daytime deliveries, we will contact the recipient to ensure s/he will be home to accept the delivery. If we are unable to reach someone we will leave a message asking for them to call us back to organize a convenient time for us to deliver. If we do not hear from the customer we will send the parcel with the evening deliveries.
Request to Leave Item at Door: The customer assumes all liability for requests to leave arrangements. We highly discourage special instructions requesting delivery to a doorstep, porch, yard or any location where the recipient cannot accept the arrangement themselves.
Recipient Delivery Refusal: If a recipient refuses to accept a delivery, the parcel will be returned to the store where you can come and pick it up or arrange an alternate delivery. No refunds are given.
Shop Now, Deliver Later: Some occasions catch you by surprise but others are on your calendar months in advance. To help you plan ahead, we offer you the ability to place your order months in advance of the occasion, for no additional charge. Just select the delivery date at checkout, let us know when you'd like the gift to be delivered, and then sit back let us take care of the rest.
Fresh Flowers: Weekly flowers is committed to delivering your important emotional sentiments on time and as fresh and beautiful as possible. Because of the nature, seasonality, and regional availability of flowers it is sometimes necessary to make substitutions of equal or greater value. We will make every effort to maintain the "look and feel" of the arrangement by considering the overall shape, size, style, and color combinations. In single-variety arrangements the variety will take precedence over color. For instance, if an order is for yellow daisies, they will substitute another color of daisies, not another yellow flower.
Plants: For green and blooming plants, similar plants may be substituted of equal or greater value. For one-of-a-kind plants, such as orchids, we will make every attempt to match the plant type, but may substitute with another color. Containers for plants will be as close as possible.
Gift Baskets: Substitutions within a basket may be made with items of greater or equal value if necessary to guarantee freshness and timely delivery.
Substitutions for Special Occasions: Due to the importance of delivering orders for special occasions, such as funerals, birthdays, and anniversaries, on specific days, we may make a substitution of equal or greater value to ensure timely delivery, if the flowers you requested are not available, and we are not able to contact you via the phone number(s) or email address you provided us.
