Care: The general rule of thumb for watering orchids grown in the home is every 5 to 12 days, depending on the type of orchid, and the time of year. During the warm summer months when days are long, more frequent watering is required than in the cooler, shorter days of winter. For symplicty, you can water orchids with an ice cube but make sure the ice does not touch any part of the plant, leaves or roots. If you have space on the wood chips you can give the orchid aprox 3 ice cubes per week during the summer.
